Going Global: EFSQ becomes IASQ

The International Association on Social Quality (previously known as the European Foundation on Social Quality) continues to develop the social quality theory, methodology and approach by exploring the dynamics and evolution of contemporary societies and their impact on the economic, socio-political, socio-cultural and environmental dimensions of daily circumstances.

The IASQ works in close collaboration with the European Observatory on Social Quality in Rome, the Asian Consortium of Social Quality and a large network of scholars from a wide range of disciplines.

The aim of the IASQ is to contribute to an increased emphasis on humanity and to provide an alternative to the dominant economic paradigm by making the social quality thinking applicable to key societal questions as expressed in policy areas at local, national, regional and global levels. The main motive is to support citizens to play a responsible role in the development of their daily lives through coinciding processes of self-realization of human beings and the formation of collective identities.
