A new book and two Chinese translations

Berghahn Books (Oxford/New York, www.Berghahnbooks.com) has published ‘Social Quality Theory: A new Perspective on Social Development’, edited by prof. Ka Lin and prof. Peter Herrmann. This book assesses societal progress and introduces relevant policy proposals in a more nuanced approach, breaking through the limitations previously set by purely economistic paradigms.

In December 2015 the Chinese Social Science Academic Press (Beijing) has published two social quality books in the Chinese language.

‘Social Quality: A Vision for Europe’ (Kluwer Law International, 2001)

Chinese title: 社会质量:欧洲愿景. This book is available from the SSAP store.

‘Social Quality: from Theory to Indicators’ (Palgrave Macmillan, 2012)

Chinese title: 社会质量:从理论到指标. This book will be available online shortly.
