Amsterdam street fair draws attention to polluted oceans

In a surrealistic setting, the procession towed a blue plastic tarpaulin containing numerous items of plastic waste. Children rode along on a giant wagon, bearing signs with slogans like “No plastic in our oceans!” In this fashion, the participants of the street fair were for a moment, in a light, commedia dell’arte-like way, confronted with one of the major sustainability issues of our time.
