New Developments in Social Quality Theory

A new elaboration of the Social Quality Theory has been published on this website. It is a work in progress, part of an ongoing project, and invites scholars to think about the way the Social Quality Approach can be developed in keeping with the pressing needs of these times. The analytic framework is further developed to help understand the dialectic between the processes between the fields that are central to social quality thinking. In doing so, the difference between SQA and various other approaches is explored.

Also, sustainability is given a more prominent place in the developing theory than has been done in the past. This leads to a proposed addition of the socioenvironmental dimension to the dimensions already incorporated in social quality theory. IASQ hopes that scholars worldwide will discuss these new steps, and help to further shape the Social Quality Approach to meet the many challenges humanity and our planet face today.
