The Italian Aldo Della Rocca Foundation having a long tradition in discussing the urban context internationally, argues there is a serious ‘crisis of cities’: “In one year cities produce more than 15 million deaths and uncontrolled urbanization is the cause of at least 80% of premature deaths”.
Their work resulted into proposals to be presented by the Italian Permanent Representative to a General Assembly Event of the UN in New York on “the Crises of Cities” on 31 October 2014. On request by the Della Rocca Foundation the International Association on Social Quality presented input contained in this document.
