Issue 8.1 of the International Journal of Social Quality marks the start of the collaboration of Berghahn Journals, IASQ and the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences (CASS). As editor Laurent van der Maesen notes in the editorial: “CASS’s global scientific network in connection with IASQ’s global network can be made productive for this journal and for social quality thinking in all continents.”
The global orientation is reflected in the contents of this issue, ranging from an analysis of the Brexit vote in Stoke-on-Trent, England, to a study of the role of small-scale farming for family care in Northern Thailand.
