NGOs condemn outcomes of climate conference

Tim Cadman (member of the advisory committee of the International Journal of Social Quality) has attended the COP 24 climate conference in Katowice, Poland. On his blog, he voices the condemnation of NGOs of the summit’s outcome. “A comprehensive and balanced outcome should have included cross-cutting principles on rights; a central place for equity, that acknowledges differing country capacity and responsibility,” writes Cadman. And: “After three years of negotiations, it is unconscionable that Parties have adopted such a weak, unbalanced, and loophole-riddled outcome.”
